01

Organizational Advisory & Consulting

Organizational advisory and consulting addresses the core challenge that surfaces when organizations reach a critical transition: too much leadership responsibility is concentrated at the top, and the next level of leaders is not yet equipped to take ownership. This work is for the owner preparing to step back, the successor who has the title but not yet the full capacity, the executive team where strong technical performers have been promoted without being equipped to lead people, and the organization where growth or a planned retirement is arriving faster than leadership capacity is being transferred. Jen Brown brings 23 years of executive and diplomatic leadership, including graduate-level work at the National War College and experience leading cross-cultural teams across the United States, Latin America, and beyond, to every engagement.

02

Leadership Coaching

One-on-one coaching for executives, owners, and emerging leaders working to communicate more clearly, navigate challenges, and build stronger teams around them.

03

Workshops & Team Development

Interactive half-day and full-day workshops that build communication, trust, accountability, and leadership capacity across teams, available in English or Spanish.

How it works

What to expect

01

Start a Conversation

Reach out through the contact form. The first call is not a sales pitch. It is a conversation about what is happening in your organization and whether there is a fit.

02

Understand the Situation

Jen listens first. Where is leadership capacity concentrated? Where is it thin? What has already been tried, and what does the organization actually need to move forward?

03

Design the Right Approach

Based on what your organization needs, Jen proposes the right engagement: advisory, coaching, a workshop, or a combination. Scope is built around your situation, not a pre-set package.

04

Do the Work

Engagements are active and accountable. Clear actions, real follow-through, and regular forward movement, not a series of conversations that end where they began.

05

Build Capacity That Stays

The goal is not ongoing dependency on the coach or advisor. It is building leadership capacity that remains in the organization long after the engagement ends.

Don't be fooled, she will not give you the easy way out, she makes you critically think about a holistic approach to management and systems. Jen thinks outside the box and provides sound business advice but also some tenderness in a world that is already so stressful. Truly is a coach in all sense of the word and work!

She led a thoughtful and impactful session on intentional leadership and avoiding burnout—topics that truly resonated with everyone in the room. What stood out most was her ability to combine her impressive credentials with a genuine, down-to-earth approach.

She is real, raw, and full of integrity. Her wisdom brings encouragement and hope to all who cross her path. As business owner myself, I often bump up against new problems to solve and badly need guidance. Her podcast, Ripple Effect Leadership, has been my go-to in these moments.

About Journey of Grace Coaching

When Billie Gunn made the move from corporate employee to business owner, she expected a roadmap. What she got was harder and more useful: Jen pushed her to think critically about how the business ran, how decisions were being made, and how leadership was actually being developed throughout the organization. Jen Brown is a former U.S. diplomat who spent 23 years leading teams across the United States and Latin America, and today she works with owners, executives, and organizations navigating growth, succession, and transition, building leadership capacity that lets the organization move forward without everything flowing back to one person. She coaches in English and Spanish, serves clients nationally, and has been engaged by municipal governments and the FBINAA North Carolina Chapter. Reach out when you're ready to start the right conversation.

The conversation starts here.

The initial call is about understanding your situation, seeing whether there is a fit, and figuring out the right next step together. No package pitch, just an honest conversation about what your organization actually needs.
